Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, Japan.
The Golden Pavilion, Kinkaku-ji or officially named Rokuon-ji, is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto. It is a building that most people in the world have seen and needs no introduction.
Pre-Covid you would be wrestling with thousands of tourists just to get a chance to stand near the pond to take a shot. I was fortunate to capture this image on the day I went. However, I would like to return to this location in the future as I would like a more dramatic sky to really enhance the image.
I do not create composites. That to me that takes the whole fun out of photography. I prefer to head out into the world and capture spectacular weather to go along with the subject of my image. The hunt and the experience is as much a part of the image as the image itself.
